Join Midrib Plants to design and create your own unique, sealed terrarium. Once established, corked terrariums will self-water within their own miniature eco-system!
Watlington House
We'll be delivering the workshop inside the Garden Hall of Grade II listed Watlington House. The gardens were first laid in 1688! We'll visit the pretty walled garden in Spring, the perfect time to see everything in bloom. Historic Watlington House is only an 8 minute walk from The Oracle, Reading.
What will I do during the workshop?
You'll be guided through the terrarium making process in this group workshop, with a relaxed atmosphere. To create the landscape in your living bottle garden you’ll use an apothecary bottle (c.20cm), an array of miniature plants and living moss, as well as decorative pebbles, terrarium tools and all the ingredients to create an enriched layered substrate.
What is included and who is the workshop for?
All equipment is included, however as terrarium making can be messy we recommend wearing suitable clothing or to bring an apron! No experience or prior knowledge is necessary, the workshop is suitable for 16+ years. Workshops last approximately 60-90 minutes. Cost of the workshop is per person.
Please note
Glass shapes & styles are subject to availability. We promise it will still be beautiful should any substitution be made!
